I would recommend replacing Tunis with Bizerte, but other than that the list looks really good.

Can we do an event for D-Day and the push afterwards?
This is my idea of the map selection for it:

    1.Omaha
    2.Juno/Gold
    3.Liberation of cean
    4.Battle of the bulge

You guys can decide for a name and if there are 4 or 5 maps or wich one comes second if you choose this one for next week.

And wich one as second? or do you want to run 5 maps?

If you go for 5 maps it could be:

    1.Omaha Beach
    2.Juno Beach
    3.Gold Beach
    4.Liberation of cean
    5.Battle of the bulge

What is with "In the hell of Bocage"???

Omaha Beach as first event map is not good. Maybe Gold Beach.

Has there ever been an "Against the Odds" event? It came to me in a dream......okay not really. But assuming that it hasn't been done, my idea is that the event consists of maps that are usually one-sided or in favor of a specific side such as Arnhem, Operation Coronet, Bougainville ect.

That last suggestion is questionable, I mean the other team still has to have a chance of winning and I really think that map is impossible for the axis to win.

That's an interesting suggestion. I think I've seen Bougainville being won by axis once or twice. It is possible, but it requires a lot of players to take a lot of bombers and maybe have a little more time. For that a lot of players need to get used to the new level bombing thing. I personally don't like it and would prefer normal bombing, as it was before. Axis has to concentrate on destroying the B17 airfield first, down the B17 once and for all, not waste effort sailing the ships unless allied ships come, and then concentrate on bombing the rest.

Many other Objective mode maps are hard to win for one side, mainly because they require more players and/or time. Also, some push mode maps often quickly turn badly for the defending side, especially when there are flags that can't be recaptured but few players want to spend their time camping very close to these flags. A small error or oversight and the flag is gone for the rest of the map. Some such maps:
    • FHT Operation Longcloth - 1943
    • Invasion of the Philippines - 1945
    • Saipan - 1944

The situation is similar on some non-push maps where one team can easily lose a crucially important flag and then things go badly:
    • The Storm - 1944
    • Wake - 1941
    • El Alamein (largely because of the infinite 88mm Flak bug and the bugged level-bombing Wellington)

Some other maps that often go badly for one team:
    • Warsaw Uprising - 1945 (axis need to destroy all spawn tunnels and take all flags, otherwise I don't think it's even possible to win. Odds depend on whether tunnels respawn and how many players on axis know how to destroy all the tunnels and do it)

    • Gazaps - 1945 (Allies need to maintain air superiority and bomb the tough axis tanks)

Maybe odds can become better with a lot of players and/or if a lot of the more experienced players choose to stack in the disadvantaged team. It could be fun. If I should suggest a list, here it is:
    • Bougainville
    • Arnhem
    • Wake - 1941
    • Warsaw Uprising
    • Invasion of the Philippines - 1945
    • The Storm

I agree, thats a good list with a nice evened out flow of campaigns. I think one of the biggest problems as you stated, is time though. Even 10 minutes more could make a big difference on some of those maps.

And as for players, there would need to be some kind of balance on the teams, I know i'd personally go for the harder team, but there are some veteran players who only play axis on European maps for one reason or another. I'm not sure if we can justify forcing people to play for a specific team without people rage quitting. Perhaps the event needs to be more 'official' for it to work?...

Nevertheless heres my list, which is identical with one exception.

    • Bougainville
    • Arnhem
    • Wake - 1941
    • Warsaw Uprising
    • FHT Operation Longcloth (there would need to be a permitting number of players)
    • The Storm

What I have in mind is simply let everyone know which is the low odds team on the map and encourage players to choose a team in the beginning. Perhaps some don't like losing and would choose the high odds team. Some like a challenge or want to improve their low odds with good teamplay and coordination. Some don't care as much about who wins but want to play against the more skilled players, whichever the team.

Hopefully teams would naturally turn out to be whatever makes for a good game. Maybe, if things get stuck or go very badly for one team, we could encourage switching teams even during the round, or change some server settings for that round like axis/allied ratio or disabling team balance. I would certainly not want it more 'official' or restrictive.

Someone should make a kill squad for this event, 4 or more people who do well together put on the team with the disatvatage to see if they can win.

I don't know about this event idea guys. I mean it sounds really good in theory, but trying to apply it I'm not sure if it will work, especially with the way our community is at the moment. All I can really say is this will either really work well or will crash and burn, I'll hope for the former!

It's a great idea. It's innovative and we never had something similar before. Let's just go for it!
