  • Prince Umeboshi ssm

    Air Raid Alert Kure

    Operation Spring Awakening: I think something is wrong with the ticket bleed because I have noticed it keeps going down really fast (I have seen it for german team but im not sure about russians) even though the tickets arent flashing red and noone is dying. anyone else notice this?

    Ticket bleed conditions have been altered on this map via ssm, the flashing is client side though. So it might flash even though there is no actual bleed (or not flash when there is in fact ticket bleed). It was necessary because we removed one flag.

    Here's two things that I think are changes in 0.6 (correct me if I'm wrong) that I don't like:

    On Liberation of Caen the Axis main flag is uncapturable until (I think) both the east and west flags are lost, and this makes it much much harder and less likely to take this key flag away from them. This practically removes a key vulnerability they have and turns the map into a plain tank-focused head-on battle, where the Axis have a significant advantage. For such a major change I would have expected that at least the tickets and bleed conditions be greatly changed in favor of the Allies, but I don't think they are. So I propose that the Axis main become a normal flag again.

    The second thing is of less importance. On Operation Forager the torpedo boats have been replaced by more landing boats. I'd like to have the torpedo boats back.

    The thing about Caen is, that allies can only win there if they play lame and capture the northern flag as soon as possible. That way axis loose their apparent main base and on top of that allies can steal their tanks.
    I wouldn't suggest to change the last flag as it is now, but to reduce the amount of armor on both sides. There are way too many maps with a great focus on tank combat, which is a bit odd on a more tactical map like Caen where the focus is basically more on infantry tactics. Take away the Blackprince and the Tiger for example.

    The point is it definitely requires holding multiple flags simultaneously, so this makes it exponentially harder to be able to capture the main flag.

    Then this would be the primary issue. If this was solved, then I think making it a normal flag is a good idea.

    If instead tanks are to be removed there's also a JagdPanther which can't be easily countered.
