Hi guys!
I recorded my gameplay on the first 4 maps from the "Alpenfestung"-Event and cut it down to ~12 minutes.

I'm an average player at best so don't expect epic killstreaks. 
I'd like to hear some feedback. If it bores you to death I can definitely save time on/after the next event. 
One thing that happens a lot to me and is really annoying is showed in the following video.

I hit that truck at least twice but it didn't even smoke? I know that I have a terrible i-net connection sometimes, so maybe it's because of lag? But it didn't look like it.

P.S. The reason for high ping. I have so often, my ping is usually 150-200. In the first video my Mustang flies past your JagdPanther. I am for this map 4 times summoned air support, but have never hit the target.

| If you want to hit such a "fast" target it´s necessary to aim a little in front of it, minimum the frontwheel! No mention if your ping is high or low. Good example is the Daimler in some desert maps ...
As I see your aiming in that video I "feel" that if I was the one how aim there, I had to aim more in front of the Hannomag. I think it´s likewise you should try.

| Thanks for your kind words, I'll try to record the next event as well. But I'd like to see videos from other users too.
@robert: Yeah, the second shot was pretty bad, but look at the third (and fourth) shot. You can see a hit on the hanomag, but the hit indicator (at the crosshairs) didn't show up. That confused me a bit.

| I've never heard of a battlerecorder for BF 1942. I use dxtory for recording, fraps should also work.

| Hello everyone!
I made a new video about the event on Sunday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cf5jprOhqU
I recorded 7 maps, but I could only fit 6 in a 15 minutes video. I really liked that event because it had everything: infantry, tank, ship and air combat.
@robert: I slightly increased the quality, I think it's a bit better now. Just make sure to watch it in 720p. €: Or did you mean widescreen? I can't do anything about that because I still have a 4:3 monitor. 
I also recorded Saturday but I lagged too much and the sound was off-sync.
Any feedback is appreciated. 
@crazygamelover: You were confused because your sound is different from mine. That's because I use the Sound&Texture pack which I highly recommend. You can find it at the end of this thread: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/34-27-2

| Good work Endless_Nameless, try recording without the HUD next time ST Pack sounds are stuning! Is it a latest version of soundpack? I'm asking because my FHSW sounds differ from yours and I'm using ST pack too. That's just curious...
BTW My FHSW gets very slow while Fraps recording with AntiAliasing turned on. However It's fine when AA is off. Is there any way to capture clips with AA?

Yes I use the latest version, it's from August, 31st. Some maps have custom music when you play them but I don't use that because it's annoying after like 30 seconds.

I can't use Fraps because it lags for me too. I found out that the Japanese guys use dxtory which is really awesome. You can record with very high quality while still having high fps. PM me if you need help with the 'installation'.

| I have a video recorded during last event (as eYe asked me for that :))and I am going to upload it to file server like RapidShare (not to Youtube), because YT destroys quality and details IMHO, unless you know another video services offering reasonable video quality?

| If you upload a video with 720p or more and watch it in 360p it will look bad for sure.
When I compare my uploaded videos with the original ones I only see minor differences. But I don't mind a rapidshare download.

| I got first of few spare hours this week so I'm uploading it right now to megaupload.com. I made several tests, uploading 10 seconds long videos to YT, and the quality drop was significant at both 320p and 480p. I dont even touch 720p, i said you one day, it would be an insane idea as my up speed is 128kbps only. An event video I made is 11 minutes long, Xvid codec 720x450 30.00fps 142MB. If I made another gameplay video I'm gonna keep it up at 25fps what allows to make 17% smaller file, also I think max. 6, 7 minutes is enough for pure gameplay. This is another 50% saving. Third thing is codec, I'm not sure which one is the most efficent, maybe h.264?

I hope you didn't record everything just for me. I couldn't win a single dogfight at the event, nice to see that it's possible at least. I'm better with the AA-guns.
Did you record only small parts of the event or everything? Which program did you use for the rendering?

I was searching for freeware apps but couldn't find a good one so i tried Sony Vegas trial. It works well but lags like hell while using certain uncompressed files. Basic cutting made in VirtualDub.

How much space do you have on your HDD? You can reduce the file size a lot by using the compress option in dxtory:
1 minute = 1 gigabyte with my settings
It requires more CPU-Power though.
