I just had a brain-flash! I realized that there are no PM m1910 Maxim guns with the sokolov mount(wheels and shield).
Although they were largely outdated by the time the war started they remained in service in the red army for the wars duration and even had a production run from 1941 to 1945
Also, I think they should add a new melee weapon... the brick..
From what i understand this is actually real footage.
There are many objects used from civilien life. Do you also know Resistance Fighters use duds from WW1 on the Belgiand and French battlefield as explosion? They place a detoantor on it and place it on targets. I also read diary a witness from one of the resistance fighters that they place a stick grenade on a dud with a metal wire on the pull cord so it was a trip wire. Or dig in the ground in roads. Trucks drive over it and explode.
and now it's mayer time for suggestions of badass weaponry:
fougasse flamethrower aka flame mine soviet design used in defenses around moscow, later copied by germans according to a report of Field Marshal Zhukov one soviet "FOG static flamethrower" destroyed 4 tanks and an entire company (~150 men) of submachine gunners the british developed a similar but different designed mine (flame fougasse) from which 50,000 were placed in England
M1919 Browning bi-pod version a few times in the pacific theatre US soldiers took the .30 caliber machine gun from downed SBD bombers, added the stock from a M1 Garand and the bi-pod from a Bar and ready is the portable machine gun (it fires 1,500 rounds per minute, in comparison a MG-42 "only" fires 1,200 rpm) It was used in the battle of iwo jima to clear bunkers.
Ive seen that m1918 before, john basilone used one on iwo jima! Also carlos hathcock(arguably the best sniper in history) put a scope on one and used to for until recently was the worlds longest sniper shot..
endless possibilities vehicles would no longer have to drive around fences, sandbags wouldn't glitch ratte into the air and tanks could roll over trees and tank traps could be destroyable too

I strongly agree that this should be added, however, i think the best option is to go for the British variant. It was basically a barrel of fuel inside a rudimentary mortar, designed to fire short distances over hedgerows, walls etc.
The cool thing about this design is that i think it could very easily be implemented in fhsw, by using the spigot mortar as a template for the projectile, but switching out the warhead from high explosive to something like a large version of flammfaust.
would be a cool addition to any operation sealion maps, if there ever is one added.
I have an idea for something they should add to 0.55! White flags! We know that flags are possible!(ive seen them on stalingrad) I think having a white flag included in every infantry kit would be cool because ti would give us a chance to surrender! could make for some interesting play!
EDIT: it would also be very cool to see a system where if a soldiers health got down to like 1% that they would be wounded and unable to move until a medic healed them! I dont know how it would work, but i think it could be possible, it could lock you into position the same way setting up a portable MG or anti tank rifle does. Maybe even it could just limit your speed if that isnt possible.. And because it would be rare for someones health to be so low it wouldnt affect gameplay all that much, but would still provide something new and interesting occasionally. I think it would make the medic class kits much much more important(it really is barely used now, most maps wont even have a medic kit), and would provide for some interesting gameplay, like rescuing wounded comrades etc!

i find this quite unrealistic, if any, only officers should have a white flag (and i'm not sure if armistice talks/negotiations make any sense in this game)
