| Everybody can post event ideas in this thread.
Our idea of events is to play maps that cover a certain battle or theatre or that are in some kind similar, like the art of warfare (infantry, tanks, navel, etc.).
The event maplist is in correct historical order.
To get an idea how to pic maps for an event have a look at older events http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/3-41-1 or download the maplist here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/4-661-1

| I like the lineup of Tunis, Mareth, Gela, and Omaha, but seeing as these first 4 maps all have relatively accurate period vehicles/weapons, I think it would be cool if the 5th one would follow through on that, instead of the turtles/flettners etc.
Not that I don't love a good Alpenfestung or Gazaps or other non-realistic maps, I just thought it would be cool to get 5/5 "realistic" instead of the 4/5 in the lineup.
I would recommend Hell of Bocage, Sector 318, Foy, or Foy Classic 2.
Or don't change at all, I'll be a happy camper either way.

| ok, let's plan this one for sure: Big Red One Experience: 27th September - Tunis - Mareth - Gela - Omaha - In the hell of Bocage
With Gameplayer's idea we can create something like: Battles of late 1944: 4th October - Ilomantsi (July 26 to August 13) - Falaise pocket (August 12–21) - Transcarpathia (around September 8) - Arnhem (around September 17) - Angaur island (around September 17)
Rafal's idea would need to be expanded by early war in general: Beginning of WW2: 11th October - Fall Weiss '39 - Eastern Blitz - Suomussalmi - Fall gelb or fht_breaking_point? - Alpine Line or Savoy?
Major's idea is similar to Gameplayer's from this message, and as E3 said Merville battery belongs to quite regularly played maps, and both Tunis and Arnhem would be included in the 2 events above so replaced Arnhem by Supercharge. Paratrooper actions: 25th October - Crete 1941 or Cretan village? - Supercharge 1942 - Merville Battery 1944 - The Attack on Carentan 1944
thoughts/ideas?

Hmm @bubu. I really agree kinda with this, but the date should be earlier. This was kinda first what I posted few weeks back and now it's going on. Maybe it should be before begining of ww2 event. We played similiar event 1 year ago. Could we move paratroopers event to 11th of october & beginining of WW2 event to 25th of october?
Hates too quick judgement.

| Thanks for your suggestion! I would prefer something broader like tank/air-battles with maps like
Prokhorovka Battle of Valirisk Breakthrough Operation Springawakening

| We've got a chance to get noticed by a bigger streamer, thanks E3 for making the connection!. The idea would be to have an event with all of the iconic maps of the FHSW so that we could show her what it is about Her twitch profile (https://www.twitch.tv/nixiepixel) has approx. 2,4k followers so it would be interesting how many people will find FHSW during/after the stream meaning we got to be prepared for a lot of new players.
I would like to show there are early maps as well as late war maps including all aspects of warware. My suggestions for the event maps are: - Fall Weiss (1939) - Battle of Britain (1940) - Merville Battery (1944) - Omaha (1944) - Leyte day 2 (1944) - Operation Kikusui Day 1 (Sinking Yamato) (1945) - Battle of Iwo Jima (I saw it disabled from the list, does it work?) (1945) - Bombing the Reich (1945) - Rattrap (Fiction)
I'd make this event a rather 9 map special, possibly including Merville Battery to include the paratrooper aspect before Omaha, thoughts? Or the flyer would include Fall weiss up to Leyte and then other maps would be after event?
@Slobodan: We really do need a flyer please konik? I will send you marchew
@Radio: Are we ok to distribute the all-in-one installer capacity-wise? I expect max load of 50 people downloading it.

| I miss a proper tank/air battle like Prokhororvka in the list. Also, there are two early war maps, but none from 1941 to 1943. That should be more balanced in order to show the whole spectrum of the mod.
I think nine maps for an event is too many. I can only speak for myself, but I definitely are not going to take part in an event/fightnight that long. Keep it easy, we can't show everything in one event anyway. So I suggest to take only one map for each year of the war and that's still seven! Also, we should try to use more unique and no vanilla maps like Battle of Britain.
My thought about the current list:
- Fall Weiss (1939) (ok) - Battle of Britain (1940) (too vanilla, also for air battles Bombing the Reich is more appropriate) - Merville Battery (1944) (nice!) - Omaha (1944) (overrated and seen in too many games and mods already) - Leyte day 2 (1944) (good!) - Operation Kikusui Day 1 (Sinking Yamato) (1945) (Yamato won't get sunk, the map is biased as hell) - Battle of Iwo Jima (I saw it disabled from the list, does it work?) (1945) (you been there when it crashed and I unticked it) - Bombing the Reich (1945) (good!) - Rattrap (Fiction) (good!)
Instead I suggest:
1. Suomussalmi 2. Fht Sittang Bridge 3. Prokhorovka 4. Merville Battery 5. Leyte day 2 6. Bombing the Reich 7. Operation Rattrap

| Ok, sounds good.
i'd much rather do Fall Weiss or the other Polish push-map, are you sure it's good idea to replace it with Suomussalmi which is not push and rather long chaos?
For Prokhorovka, do we have some other idea for tank battle? If not, then sure lets do it.

| Yea, maybe Fall Weiss is the better idea. What's E-3s opinion (or other peoples)??
I would leave Proko since it includes tanks AND planes and is more dynamic than A day of Zitadelle, biased Pakfront or Kharkow Outskirts. We could also set Battle of Valirisk for the same reasons.

| The name could be "FHSW Showcase Event" or "Combined Arms Event". I favour first
Some compromises then....
1. Fall Weiss 2. Fht Sittang Bridge or El Ala as Major suggests? (or even Supercharge from 42?) 3. Prokhorovka sounds like a good choice after all then. 4. Merville Battery 5. Leyte day 2 6. Bombing the Reich 7. Operation Rattrap
