| Everybody can post event ideas in this thread.
Our idea of events is to play maps that cover a certain battle or theatre or that are in some kind similar, like the art of warfare (infantry, tanks, navel, etc.).
The event maplist is in correct historical order.
To get an idea how to pic maps for an event have a look at older events http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/3-41-1 or download the maplist here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/4-661-1

| Oh no Is there any possibility of taking a laptop to ancient Athens? Maybe we could postpone the event?

Or a hungarian or finnish event? if it's an event about the battle of belgium then we should change bocage for bastogne-1945.
I liked the idea.

| No, because we have a Battle of the Bulge event every winter around the time that battle took place. Please be more creative

| We have to take advantage of the 40-50 players we had every Sunday the last weeks! I think we should continue our Great Battles series. After El Alamein, Guadalcanal, Battle of Valirisk and Breakthrough I suggest two of the following for the next event:
Gazala Supercharge A Day of Zitadelle Battle of Orel
Please vote for one of the following options: 1. Gazala/A Day of Zitadelle 2. Gazala/Battle of Orel 3. Supercharge/A Day of Zitadelle 4. Supercharge/Battle of Orel
The remaining two maps could be played on the event after next!

| I would vote for Number 4. I think Zitadelle isn't that good for this game lenght.

| Number #1 is the best. Gazala would be very nice to see at last and Day of Zitadelle is very good too.
Hates too quick judgement.

| My vote is for:
4. Supercharge/Battle of Orel
In my opinion A Day of Zitadelle too often ends up with axis cornering the allies in their main base, with allies unable to regain their positions. I don't think that 40+ players would affect that balance in a good way, it may make it even more unbalanced. If it plays out the same way the round will be mostly boring, just a lot of the same once axis secure all the flags.

For a 35 minute match these kind of maps are totally fine. But I think it in this case it might be messy. However did axis get their Ferdi back? If not it might not be that bad.

| The stats say Axis won 11 rounds and Allies 15. Although the problem with the stats is that many rounds with only a handfull of players are also counted. From the layout of the map A day of Zitadelle is not equal for both teams. The Russian access to the battlefield is like a bottleneck so once Axis has taken all flags it is easy to prevent Russians from entering the battlefield. Axis has two main base spawn points that allow the tanks to spread out over a large area which makes it hard for Russians to stop them. I think Kharkow Outskirts would be fairer. Still, I'd like to play Zitadelle just to see what happens, because sometimes it really differs from what one expects...

Kharkov Outskirts is definitely up there for another event.
