| Why don't we ditch teamspeak and set up a discord server in a similar fashion?
It's easier and faster to use and you don't need downloads or anything.
Saying this because nobody but a couple of people use TS.

I think the ts3 is cool and very useful. I think most of the people here in the community go into ts3 for conversation and interaction over there.

| I enjoy and am familiar with the Teamspeak3 server and would not be supportive of shutting down the FHSW server on there.
However, if some people would like to setup a discord server in addition to but not replacing TS3, I wouldn't care if they wanted to do that.

Yeah, just what Ben said. I probably won't use Discord and that's why: to use PTT I have to install their Electron-based app or to keep browser tab with in focus (though that's probably not an issue of Discord itself, but the result of security policy in browsers).

| i figured if we had a discord people can notice others are online and
communicate and hop on into the game and play with discord running
it would be more efficient for everyone
and it would be a good way for people in other countries to meet up and play too
at certain timezones.
discord has text and voice and we can share pictures and their is even group / private calls with face cams
the ability to create custom emoji's exist too!
compared to discord TS3 is really obsolete.

And compared to Battlefield 1 Battlefield 1942 is really obsolete...
The few people who do use/want a general ingame voice chat seem to be used to TS3, which is why the Discord is still dead. We need to get something going on the Discord if we want the Discord to actually be useful.

| Apparently, biggamerandmodder is Poptart from Pluto (according to the profile information). He was playing on the server last year, but I don't remember if he changed his name, or he just hasn't played lately. Back then he wanted us to have an active Steam group (see here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/44-764-1) which wasn't a bad idea, but it didn't go anywhere.
I don't know if I'd be using Discord (I haven't been using TS either), but it can't hurt if someone takes the initiative to create something like that, which they think can be useful to the community.
By the way, Poptart from Pluto, you suggested the addition of some French tanks, and we did get 3 new late war/cold war French tanks, including one which you were asking for: AMX 13 with a 75mm gun.

| So i am trying to open a FHSW Discord server,what are your thoughts,i mean we could chat whenever we want,because its available on Mobile phone,and those with older PCs could chat through mobile app.
What are you are you thinking about this,should i do it,and could someone place its invite link on main page?
