FHSW turns 10 this year!
It's a rather small update but has some new additions:
- Fa 223 "Drache"
- Borgward IV
- K98 AT rifle grenade
- ARL 44
- AMX 50 "Surbaissé"
and some more.
New map: Fall_of_Berlin-1945
But also some changes (I have translated some stuff with google translate so take it with a grain of salt):
- Mp40/II is more powerful but accuracy decreased (thank god!)
- It's easier to start a plane on a moving carrier deck
- fixed a few handweapon reload animations
- T35 has a new texture and some model variations
- 122mm - 152mm caliber artilliery has a new "range finder" system apllied
- some changes on equipment and maps like Forgotten Jungle and Varsity that promise multiplayer "stability"
- Way to Paris has now reinforced allied material
- desert hill is now a fictional Cold War tank-battle between the USSR and Allied forces
Also an helpful advice by FHSWman:
Quote It is recommended to apply 4GB patch to BF1942.exe (with own risk), because this mod is high load.
And he added a download link. I remember that Radio also talked about that recently. Every player should keep an eye on that.
But what does he mean with the risk on using the 4GB patch?
Also: S&T pack and other additions might not work properly for FHSW 0.61 (yet).

Well, it modifies only game executable, thus you can always roll back to old version if something is wrong (don't forget to make a backup, of course). In my experience, it improved stability a lot and vanished all texture related crashes I used to have before while using S&T pack.
Back on topic, this is small but nevertheless nice update. Can't wait to try out new Berlin map! I hope this trend will continue on and we will receive more frequent updates.

| Heads up for installation: You need to merge the FHSW 0.61 folder with the FHSW 0.6 folder, rather than deleting the 0.6 folder and replacing it with the 0.61 folder. Otherwise you'll end up with crashes and missing textures/models.

Hmm, the map works fine for me. Have you installed the 4GB patch? The map is heavy on textures (on my PC the game uses ~2,4 GB of RAM), that's why it may crash on non patched BF1942 executable.
