Everybody can post event ideas in this thread.

Our idea of events is to play maps that cover a certain battle or theatre or that are in some kind similar, like the art of warfare (infantry, tanks, navel, etc.).

The event maplist is in correct historical order.

To get an idea how to pic maps for an event have a look at older events http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/3-41-1 or download the maplist here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/4-661-1

Here's Bubu's idea (revised by me) for an event series to celebrate 11 years of FHSW-europe (original conversation about it started from here http://www.fhsw-europe.com/forum/31-495-16306-16-1579187160):

- Merville Battery 1944
- Omaha Charlie 1944
- The attack on Carentan 1944

My suggestion for part III

"11 years of war with FHSW (Part III):
- Pegasus 1944
- Merville Battery 1944
- Omaha Charlie 1944
- The attack on Carentan 1944
- Ramelle Neuville 1944
- Eagle's nest 1945"

Leave out eagles, it doesn't fit in that maplist at all!

About BF1918 event, I can suggest exotic maps for event -
A ) African & Asian maps:
Bismarck Archipel
Riverrun
Sanaga River
Tabuaeran
Tanga
Tsingtao
or
B ) Near East / Ottoman maps:
Baghdad
Basra
Besika Bucht
Broken Hill
Desert Winds -or- Desert Winds Raid (first one is pure air map, second is desert inf+tanks assault)
Fao Landing
Gallipoli
Gaza town
Scimitar Hill

Second variant is big, so maybe split on two events
Also, order is alphabetical, but maybe set it in historical order/relying on players numbers order (small in beginning, big later)

Adak Race has a bad disconnection bug, and it's reproducible. I'll send more details to our SSM modders via PM, in case someone wants to try to fix it (if you need to know, ask me).

As a workaround, for the event this Sunday an admin could just force all players to be allies and all should be safe from this bug. This can be accomplished by setting axis player ratio to 0 (Game tab), disabling "Smart team balance" and enabling "Auto Balance Teams" (Misc tab) and then stopping the server and starting it again (I tested it and it didn't work otherwise). All this can be done when the server has started loading the next map, so players don't have to rejoin manually (when going to the next map you have to revert the settings changes and do a stop/start again).

59 Players yesterday - that was awesome!

Before we reached those on Reichsbahn, Bubu and me were discussing to set up an event with the biggest maps and the intention to reach the maximum player number of 64. We did a similar event before: Stefan set up an event a few years ago with the intention to reach a new player record and it worked!

So my idea is: set up an event with the biggest maps and spread the word about our intention.

My map suggestions (to be discussed!):

Pakfront
Omaha Charlie Sector
Operation Coronet

Please post and discuss those and other maps (only the maps, not the intention - I don't wanna hear something like "this is not going to work blabla", be positive, constructive and supportive please wink )!

Other maps could be:
Prohhorovka
Operation Springawakening
Manchuria
Tulagi Island
Tarawa
Operation Kikusi Day 1
Operation Hailstone
Monster des Stahls
Fall Weiss
Fall Gelb
Gazala
El Alamein

...actually realising that there are many maps suitable for 64 players (also some of the fht maps).

So I am thinking let's make a new event series: "Beat the records!"

Also, we could increase max player could to 128 to boost our chances?

###
Edit: I really like this idea smile

My suggestions would be (sorry for non historical order in here, I have limited break time, I tried to keep them in theatrical tidyness))
- Prokhorovka
- Pakfront
- Omaha Charlie Sector
- Operation Coronet
- Tarawa (here or in event 3)
- Operation Hailstone
as event 1

However, we could also include FHT Breaking point, Peleliu (after SSM with fixed push), Air Raid Kure, Bombing the Reich (bombers, bombers everywhere).

So it could be something like this:
- Fall Weiss
- Fall Gelb
- FHT Breaking point
- El ala
- Gazala
as event number 2 (early war)

and
- Tulagi
- Peleliu
- Air raid kure
- Manchuria
- monster des stahles (although laggy for many people, incl me)
as event number 3

Finally, personally, I would definitely leave out:
- Operation Kiku Day 1 - too dark for players and does not offer enough ships for everyone

@Bubu: Thanks for your input. I think it is better to limit the maps per event to five and increase round time from 35 to 45 mins.

Possible maps (complete list):
Fall Weiss
Fall Gelb
fht the breaking point
fht sittang bridge
Gazala
Tulagi Island
El Alamein
fht battle of mareth line
Pakfront
Prohhorovka
Tarawa
Operation Hailstone
fht battle of kohima
Omaha Charlie Sector
Battle of Peleliu
Operation Springawakening
Operation Kikusi Day 1
Manchuria
Operation Coronet
Monster des Stahls

I would like to leave out Bombing the Reich and Air Raid Alert Kure because those maps are pretty one-sided. Kikusi Day 1 is arguable (not too dark though lol) but I would like to see if the US team manages to sink the Yamato when they have a full team.

So my suggestions for "Beat the records" event series are:

Sunday 15 March 2020 - 7 PM
Fall Weiss
Tulagi Island
Pakfront
Tarawa
Operation Springawakening

Sunday 22 March 2020 - 7 PM
Fall Gelb
Gazala
Prohhorovka (New record: 66 players)
fht battle of kohima
Operation Kikusi Day 1

Sunday 29 March 2020 - 7 PM
fht sittang bridge
fht battle of mareth line
Omaha Charlie Sector
Monster des Stahls
Operation Coronet

Sunday 5 April 2020 - 7 PM
fht the breaking point
El Alamein
Operation Hailstone
Operation Da
Manchuria

Sunday 12 April 2020 - 8 PM
Wake
Peleliu
Trois Ponts
Westwall 1945
Alaska

Sunday 19 April 2020 - 8 PM (75th Anniversary Battle of Berlin)
Seelow Heights
Berlin Outskirts
Berlin 1945
Berlin Streets
Fall of Berlin
