| That would be a good event to tag on Xenab's "Ocean Town" map, could tag it on at the end of the event and we could try it out with the left overs of the event that have this map.

| Mind that Bouganville happened to crash the server last weekend.
About the "Ocean Town": I dont really like the idea of releasing single maps. Instead I would suggest putting it in a Community Mappack #1, when it's done. Beside of this the ftp still doesn't work so we can not upload any stuff to the server. However you can still do online tests of the map on a home server.

| I know what you mean Mr J, but are there people working on maps for a possible mappack? I know that Radio used to work on a FHSW conversion for Kbely Airfield.
But since Mayer is gone I don't know if there are any other guys left who work on something.
Personally someday when I have much time I wanted to make a conversion of Eagle's Nest .... but I won't do that in the near future i think.

| The reason I'm pushing the "Ocean Town" idea is because I don't see a mappack ever materializing in this community, I know Mayer was hyped about a FHSW Europe mappack but ever since he left I haven't heard of any progress or even any work on the mappack, I don't want to speak for Radio here but he develops maps and then releases them, I don't know what he has planned but I don't think he's working on a mappack. So I just think that we should just play these new maps while we still have them available. These maps include Radio's old restoration of the vanilla and FH maps into FHSW maps ( I don't know if these have been converted to version .55 or not), some of Mayer's single maps (I thought some had quality to them but I don't know if they're still available to us), and Xenanab's maps, especially "Ocean Town". I definitely understand where you're coming from J, I just don't think we should wait for a mappack to be released, mostly because I don't believe there will be a mappack to be released. At least not in the near future ( 6 months). But I do agree that we need to hear what the community thinks should happen before we plan anything.

| I thought it would be nice to upload some of the removed maps back onto the server, Crete, Stashuv, etc. Just the most popular ones so we don't overload the server with maps nobody has. We could provide a download link for the Forgotten Mappacks on the mainpage. Maybe one day this could happen if FTP ever works again...  Do you think this is a good idea?

| The devs didnt remove these maps without any reason. I still believe some crucial thing concerning objects does not work there. e g the Me Gigant and Nightvision, etc

| I like it but I guarantee that a lot of people won't play because it's infantry. I mean I think most of the people that play FHSW play it for the vehicles.
