| U guys want an event anyway? Nobody is doing anything here and the server does not run on its own. Just saying...
This is a gaming community. People come here to relax. If you start an argument you will get kicked.
Quid pro quo.

| I have an idea for an event. A co-community event. What I mean is, we have both FHSW communities (prince umeboshi and Europe) play with each other on a couple good maps (rattrap, etc.) We can play on a weekend, 2 pm Central European time, since that is the regular playing time for prince umeboshi anyways. We can host it on the Europe server (though you may have to open some more slots, and I don't know how difficult that really is). Anyways, just a thought.

| Okay let's stay with air combats. I'll get the past flyer and send the newsletter.

That could work, however I'm not sure how many euro players is gonna join at this specific hour

| Good point, marduk. Do you have any specs on what the Europe server can handle?

| The details. What do you think is the maximum amount of players the server can have without crashing or going crazy? Because you asked about the ping and I'm not sure if the server can have that many people at one time.

| I don't really know. But I think in the past the server became dodgy already with 30-40 players.

| Pacific Events
I discovered that we got lots of mapclusters dealing with the same Operations: 1. Battle for Singapur -Kotabharu (08th of December 1941) -Battle of off Malay (31st of January - 15th of February 1942) -Fall of Singapure (31st January - 15th of February 1942) -Fht-pasir-panjang (11st -13rd of February 1942)
2. Battle for the Solomones -Tulagi Island (07th -09th of August 1942) -Guadalcanal (07th of August 1942 - 09th of February 1943) -Battle of Edsons Ridge (12th -14th of September 1942; Guadalcanal) -Battle of Boungainville (01st of November 1943 - April 1944)
3. Battle for Gilbert Islands -Battle of Makin (20th - 24th of November 1943; Ort) -Tarawa (20th - 24th of November 1943)
4. Battle for Burma -Fht-Sittang-Bridge (19th - 23rd of February 1942) -Operation Longcloth (08th of February 1943) -Operation Thursday (05th of February 1944)
We could do some little Events with those clusters, maybe on Fightnights. Singapur and Solomones would also work as proper events on Sundays.

| So, we had an Air Event. But I know we also got lots of players who love tank battles. We should continue with a tank event. We have enough tank maps and could set up a two-days event:
Day 1: 1. Counterattack 2. Aberdeen 3. Kasserine_pass-1943 4. A day of Zitadelle 5. Prokhorovka 6. Pakfront 7. Kharkow_outskirts-1943
Day 2: 1. Breakthrough-1944 2. Operation_Goodwood-1944 3. Sector 318 4. Stashuv Area 5. Operation Springawakening 6. Battle over Hokaido

I guess that many of our players are unfamiliar with the Asian history but on the other hand I ask myself why not to teach them by such gaming lessons
(marduk) Day 2: 1. Breakthrough-1944 2. Operation_Goodwood-1944 3. Breakthrough-1944 4. Sector 318 5. Stashuv Area 6. Operation Springawakening 7. Battle over Hokaido
You have doubled the Breakthrough and Goodwood Good idea though, and we've got the flyer already if I'm not wrong.
And how about El Alamein without the planes? We could do a SSM just for Event.

| 1.1. Correct tank Event maplist
Day 1: 1. Counterattack 2. Aberdeen 3. Kasserine_pass-1943 4. A day of Zitadelle 5. Prokhorovka 6. Pakfront 7. Kharkow_outskirts-1943
Day 2: 1. Breakthrough-1944 2. Operation_Goodwood-1944 3. Sector 318 4. Stashuv Area 5. Operation Springawakening 6. Battle over Hokaido
I had no special reason not to put El Alamein in the list. Basically there are more maps (Desert Rose, Supercharge, Sand Storm, etc.) which would also fit into the event but I had to make a choice anyway.
1.2. Pacific Maps I like the "Battle for the Solomones" maplist best because it is a nice mix. It includes islands with arty, tanks, ships, etc., one pure infantry map and an air-/seabattle map so it will make a nice little event I reckon.

| Could we do IF maps after the Solomons event? e.g. Rattrap, Alaska, Mainland Japan, etc.

| I don't say no. IF or nonhistorical maps are
Rattrap Alaska Operation Coronet Wake Night Forgotten Jungle Hokkaido (It's on the Japanese mainland so I guess it's not a historical map) Kushira (same as above) Gazaps Naichi Monster des Stahles Alpenfestung
Which ones would you like to play?
@slobo: Once again a beautiful flyer.
