Download from here or another trusted site:

 http://wbmuse.blog89.fc2.com/blog-entry-212.html

Store the download in a folder on your hard drive. I use a C:\Techdiv\Battlefield1942\FHSW folder.
Rename the folder FHSW0.611. Decompress the files in the download there.
Move the existing FHSW folder to this location. Rename the folder FHSW0.61.
Move or copy the FHSW0.611 folder to the active EAGames location. Rename the folder FHSW.
Open 2 Windows Explorers. In one, navigate to the active FHSW folder \levels. In the other, navigate to the old FHSW folder now called FHSW0.61.
Copy the files in the \levels folder in FHSW0.61 to the \levels folder in the active FHSW. DO NOT OVERWRITE FILES (should be 136 that are NOT overwritten).
This should copy all the mappack files as well as the other custom maps downloaded from Kabu and its affiliate sites (which I have).

Connect to the server. You should not have a problem.

Thanks for posting this. There is a slightly simpler alternative to achieve the same result (update FHSW 0.61 to 0.611 while keeping all custom maps):
  • Optional: copy Battlefield 1942\Mods\FHSW to a place outside of the Battlefield 1942 folder, if you want to have a backup;
  • Open FHSW0611Client.rar (I recommend 7-Zip; WinRAR fails to extract from this archive), open FHSW0611Client and extract the FHSW folder to Battlefield 1942\Mods, overwriting all the files in the existing FHSW folder.
  • Open Battlefield 1942\Mods\FHSW\Archives\ and delete standardmesh_001.rfa and texture_001.rfa

    Hello all.  Need your help!  FHSW611 worked fine.  Tried to install FHSW062 and FHSW021.  Try to play on server.  Map loads and then disconnected with "BF1942.exe has stopped working."   Using Windows 10 64-bit.

    Could someone please post step by step method to install FHSW062 and FHSW021?  Which folder does the FHSW062 and FHSW021 go into?  Do I need to delete any old FHSW folders or files?

    Help greatly appreciated.     ~Pax

    For the FHSW part of the install you should remove the FHSW folder before updating  as the FHSW062 archive is not a patch but a full install; there is also User.con file at the root of the archive to place on your profile directory to be able to use the X key to zoom with cannons (look at the readme for the path). Then apply FHSW0621 patch and you should be good to go.
