Windows 10 and trouble (r)

| hi guys... 2 days ago the stupid win10 has been installed on my pc... I refused it for months but my pc suddently has stopped and restarted alone with the win10 installation. After 1 hour a stupid new desk top was on my screen, anyways all was ok, porno movies and photos folder were ok  and also all other things. So i started fhsw, ok... it took more time to start but did it and at last AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH all video textures had been changed, smaller screen, reading chat character was impossible and a lot of troubles again. I tried to play but was impossible so I had to quit. Then I tried to change compatibility but now when I start to play the map uploading freezes... I can't play. Can some1 help me, who is playing with win 10 what did to do it ??? Help me or I will open all customs to north europe  and Canada too

| Hi guys, I seem to be in a similar boat as Lampo. I'm trying to install BF1942 on my new computer and it doesn't seem to be working, the only thing I can think of is that I'm now running windows 10. Anybody running windows 10 and BF1942 successfully?

| tnx wewi, I'm downgrading to the last windows version. On this pc I don't need win10... now I try to join the server. For a new pc with win10 I hope in some solution

| I tried this solution Wewak, but I had already enabled Direct Play earlier, so I don't believe this to be the problem unfortunately. Also I'm unable to downgrade to Windows 7, as this is a new PC which only came with Windows 10 for operating system. Is there anything else you or anyone else can think of?

| mmmhhh, when the stupid win10 was in my pc I had to update the directx but with win10 ( the evil ) i think is useless. Anyways when i did it FHSW run, but changed all textures and screen resolution as I said. I tried to set the game in compatible version but after this all maps started to freeze during the upload. I think my laptop is too old for the stupid win10. I tried to find for some solution in FH or FHSW sites... a lot of answer for a lot of problems. Some1 suggested to reinstal without widescreen fix... dunno.

| @Lampo, I'm pretty sure the problem doesn't lie within the widescreen fix patch. I believe this to be false because I'm doing a complete clean install of BF1942 and all mods and I can't even get the base game to run. I haven't installed anything except for the vanilla, Xpacks, and FH.

| I updated my system from win7 32-bit basic to win 10 32-bit. Then I manually updated to win10 64-bit, and accidetly deleted ALL my games.
So then I installed BF1942 into the x86 Program Files folder and have no any problems.

| (HH)Benjamin, did you try disabling compatibility mode for BF1942.exe and then running BF1942CF.exe (it comes with FHSW in the folder [...]\Battlefield 1942\Mods\FHSW\Compatibility Fix)?

| @Starking: I haven't installed FHSW yet since I couldn't get the original base game to run at all, but I think I will download FHSW anyways and see if that BF1942CF.exe helps at all.

| Yesterday Airtroll sent me a cyrillic font, but when I've set it I got one BIG issue with it.I can't change the language during when I'm in the game.And I think my Windows 10 is guilty.I'm all ears for suggestions.
