I'm sad for that I'm reading but I understand your problem. Anyways I'm pretty sure you will return because a lot of us had the same interest drop, but we are always came back. At this point I have a question for you about the server. I could pay for next year, waiting for your return and to keep this adventure on. So please, if you may, contact me by mail for all infos I need. The only thing I ask is some help to admim it from who has time and ability. I made some experience with a server I had but I'm really klutz when server needs some technical maintenance. You can give all rights to the reliable volunteers so we can go on.

Hello everyone!In January 2015 I started this server because Stefan showed declining interest in his server and there were times when it was down for several days. It was also a fairly old machine and with FHSW 0.55 released the loading times increased quite a bit. My main goal was to start new with a fresh server and increased admin activity. I had no idea how to operate a server but learned it along the way.

We had a lot of fun here and player numbers have been quite good for such an old game. The release of 0.6 also brought a lot of activity back. Thanks for being so loyal! There are a lot of memories I'll never forget, especially the trailer we created together stands out.

But I’ve noticed that like Stefan I’m also slowly losing interest and I want to pass the torch before it’s too late and we’re at the same state as at the end of 2014. Here are my main reasons if someone cares:

FHSW in general has lost some of its appeal to me, it’s a mix of several things and the main things are: too random damage system in tank vs tank and too many vehicles on each map
Increase of server disputes. I made this server to have fun with friends, not to discuss rules and bans every week, I hate doing admin work.
But most importantly: less and less time, I play a couple of hours every weekend, that’s it. I can’t really participate much in the community anymore, so it doesn’t make much sense to be the guy who runs (and pays) the show.

I plan on terminating the contract with the server host in January 2017.

So I hope that’s enough time for you to find a good new admin who can be more active again.

I'll probably continue to play as a regular player but I don't want to have anything to do with the server (ssm, admin, site management, etc.). Maybe I can transfer the server contract to someone else, I have to check with the host. The server host is called hetzner (German), current cost is 60€/month, it runs on Windows 2012 server OS so it's quite easy to manage.

The payment isn't the problem for me really, I can actually help paying the new server. I just want to have the possiblity to stay away from the server for a few weeks and not having to worry about it (as an example).
