It automatically deletes the folder "FHSW" before installing the new version so you don't have to do that manually.

| @Everyone: One issue has come up several times, so I'll post the solution again here (I think it should also be added to the installation guide, or possibly even the FHSW installer). Some of you may have some custom maps for FH (such as from PFC mappacks or Fan Mappacks other than FH Fan Mappack 6) which are known to cause crashes and wrong loading screens, specifically on maps such as Remagen and Midway-1942 and maybe others. We haven't determined exactly which maps cause the crashes, but what fixes the problem is removing all map files from Battlefield 1942\Mods\FH\Archives\bf1942\levels that aren't from FH 0.7 or Fan Mappack 6. Usually, if you order the files by date modified you'll see that the FH 0.7 map files are dated 2005, Fan Mappack 6 map files are dated May 2006 and all map files dated after 2006 are probably custom maps which you can remove. If you are not sure, or the "date modified" is not right, you can remove the whole folder and reinstall just FH 0.7 and Fan Mappack 6. If you want to still be able to play those other FH maps too, have a copy of the entire Battlefield 1942 directory with all the custom FH maps in, and start FH from there.
@eYe: Thanks. This download was fast - at my maximum of 55Mbits (7MB/s), several times faster than the release's google drive link was for me, for some reason. I'll do a proper test soon. It's good to see that the installer includes proper instructions and does check for BF1942, FH and Fanmappack 6, but allows "installation" even without them. I compared the contents to the original release and see that the lexiconall.dat file is different. Does is fix some significant issue, or just missing loading screens or something like that?
The setup says that it "contains the Windows 7 and widescreen fix... It is strongly recommended to intall this fix if you use Windows Vista or 7". Is this referring to BF1942CF.exe? It can't be found in your, or in the original FHSW 0.6 release.
It also says that it updates bf1942.exe, but does it really?
The uninstaller seems to uninstall only the files from part 1. It would be nice if you add an uninstaller in part 2 that uninstalls both parts (but two separate uninstallers would be OK, too).

| Concerning Remagen I have to say:
My client crashed within 1 minute on the spawn select screen, but there wasn't any chance to actually choose a spawn. My client crashed, not the server.
But here is the thing: I don't have any additional mappacks or other modifications on my BF1942 folder. The map simply didn't work for me. Tomorrow I will test it again on a local multiplayer game.
Has anyone tried out West Wall yet?

Maybe it's faster because I uploaded it from Germany which is closer to you. Some maps are written in lowercase, others in uppercase and the sorting is also non-alphabetical, I fixed all that.

It only installs the fix if you have Win Vista or above and if the fix hasn't been installed previously (registry check).

The installer checks if you have the updated BF1942.exe in your Battlefield 1942 folder (MD5 check). If not it creates a backup of the old one and installes the new one.

| Ello boys,
Just downloaded 06 client and placed on mods folder. Tried to join server, gave me Map not found error message. Then I installed mappack 1 V2.0 and got the same map not found. any ideas what is the issue?

I have now. When I try to start a local game it doesn't work for some reason (endless loading), but I can join the map on the server no problem.

| I think some players got disconnected on Westwall last time we played it, but in general it works.
